Our Review

In our review of Avoalre Socks, we took them on several Colorado hikes, took them trail running, road running, and other activities best suited for a mid cut sock. We also frequently wore them for non athletic use around the house, and going out.

This testing has given some great insight into how these socks perform.

Fit & Comfort

Avoalre Cushioning

Overall, these are very comfortable socks in our opinion. These are tighter fitting socks, hence the compression technology, which has its benefits, but the wicking in them is high quality, making them still very comfortable to wear for long periods of times. Upon pulling the socks out of the package, the material doesn’t seem like the softest material, but on the feet they actually feel really great, and we were very happy with comfort. Especially when we compare these to other compression sock brands.

In addition, the cushioning all over the sock is super nice for walking around the house, adds just a tiny bit of cushioning in the shoe, but doesn’t hinder the fit within the shoe. We thought the cushioning might be restrictive, but after testing, we love it.

Overall Quality & Materials

The 30% CoolMax, 30% cotton, 35% nylon, 5% LYCRA blend is great. The CoolMax and LYCRA blend creates a great compression technology with moisture wicking capabilities.

Warmth & Breathability

These are super breathable socks, making them amazing for sweaty conditions or warm weather conditions. We have warn these in freezing conditions, but you’ll likely want a more insulated sock for cold weather conditions if your feet run cold. Overall, these are highly recommended in warmth due to the great breathability and moisture wicking.

Versatility

The mid cut makes these great socks for road running and daily use. We hope that they add a longer version soon and then the versatility of these socks will go up.

Looks

The two color options are super simple, but both good looking. These mid cut socks are fantastic as they stay nice and low and look great for their style. They look great in all types of pants, shorts, and shoes. Both the grey and black colors go with most styles. Images below for help.

Pricing

In terms of pricing, these are affordable socks in a mid price range, which is the price range we almost always recommend for socks. They have the materials and technology of higher end socks, without paying crazy prices per pair. We believe that the value of these socks is right where they should be.

Recommendation and Overall Thoughts:

These socks have become some of our favorite daily use socks to go road running in, wearing around the house, or going to the gym in. They are great for these particular use cases. While we don’t use these for trail runs, or colder weather conditions, we think these are fantastic for the intended uses and would definitely recommend these socks.
