Our Review

Fit & Comfort

These might be the most comfortable boots we have ever worn, and we have worn a whole lot. They are lightweight, super good looking, and extremely comfortable for high top boots. They are very lightweight, breathable, and warm. The design with the back of the boot being lower than most high top boots makes these super comfortable comparatively to other boots of similar style.

Regarding fit, they appear to be true to size and fit, and feature a large and roomy toe box which is a great feature for many.

Waterproofing & Warmth:

These boots have great waterproofing, and keep melting snow and rain from getting your feet wet. Combined with gaiters, these are really great snowy or muddy condition boots.

Shoe Grip & Traction

Like most of Garmont boots, the traction is great. Utilizing Vibram soles, these have great traction on just about all surfaces. It is easy to strap on microspikes as well.

The Vibram IceTrek soles were designed specifically for cold conditions.

Laces

The lacing system on these boots are much like most other hiking boots with a locking loop at the top. Easy to lace with quality laces. Nothing special, but absolutely functional.

Recommendation and Overall Thoughts:

These boots are awesome for 3 season hiking, or reasonable weather conditions in winter. They are breathable and durable enough for almost all conditions, and lightweight and comfortable enough for some very long hikes.

If you want a lightweight high top boot that is as comfortable as a mid ankle or trail running shoe, this is an awesome option.

Someone that struggles with getting a comfortable and lightweight boot should give these a shot. They are very different than other classic style winter / three season boots out there on the market. The fit is much more like a trail runner, or a mid cut boot than a high cut boot, making them more comfortable than a lot of comparable options in our opinion.
